Winson, in business since 1976, purchased Charnwood Coaches of Shepshed with four Bedford coaches, two with Plaxton Supreme bodies and two bodied by Unicar, along with school and works contracts. Haulage ceased within six months. Based initially at Station Avenue, Loughborough and moved to current premises 1994. Sons Paul, Anthony and Matthew joined business between 1991 and 2001 and are now directors. Acquired Schofield Travel, Loughborough 2001. First new coach, Bova Futura 25 (G25 YRY], purchased 1990. Paul S. Winson Engineering undertakes work for dealers and other operators.
