Buses can be bland; no matter if your fondness is for Tilling green, National Bus Company poppy red or Stagecoach stripes, the problem with a corporate livery is that it can blend into much of a muchness. That is why, when a big group does something different, people like us find it interesting. One such example is Arriva Midlands' Hinckleybus operation in rural Leicestershire, which has its own livery and branding outside the corporate identity of its parent company. This had been part of Arriva Midlands before being sold to the Centrebus Holdings joint venture, but then — along with what became Yorkshire Tiger — it became 100% Arriva again on the winding up of the joint venture.
