If you yearn to see trolleybuses running on the left-hand side of a public highway, then wallow in this latest publication in a delightful series, which features the system of Wellington, New Zealand, the last in all of Australasia. The coverage is up to January/February this year, summer in the antipodes. While there was a single route from 1924 to 1932 (and operated by a single trolleybus), the 1949-64 programme of tramway conversions saw the wholesale introduction of trolleybuses, resulting in the erection of 50km (31miles) of overhead, supplying the operation of about 120 trolleybuses.
