Back in the mid-1950s, Daimler chairman Bernard Docker was replaced temporarily by Jack Sangster from Daimler's parent company BSA, who brought with him his engineer, Edward Turner, known to motorbike enthusiasts as the 'daddy' of the Ariel Square Four and the legendary Triumph Twins of the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s.
