Irizar has won a landmark order in south-western France for 18 of its newly developed i2e electric bendybuses to operate two bus rapid transit (BRT) lines from 2019. The agglomeration of the Basque- Adour Coast, a Transdev subsidiary that trades as Chronoplus, is working with Irizar to develop a unique design for the 18.73m tram-styled bendybuses, which will be manufactured at the Irizar e-Mobility plant in Aduna in northern Spain, 65km (40miles) from Bayonne, the principal city served by the agglomeration.
