Nigel Furness insists that this informative volume is not the definitive history of Vauxhall-owned Bedford, which supplied UK and export markets from 1931 to 1986. That is wise, as Stuart Broatch and Alan Townsin produced such a two-volume history around 20 years ago for Venture Publications, covering the company's trucks and vans as well as its buses and coaches. Furness acknowledges these sources and others in this book, which follows an overview with a model-by-model account of vehicles produced from the original WLG to the YNV Venturer.
