Seaford & District quits bus routes

Seaford & District is withdrawing from local bus operation, but will retain its school and sightseeing services, and indeed is expanding its Eastbourne sightseeing tour. The East Sussex operator's announcement, made on 4 January, affects four routes in two counties. Worthing-based Compass Travel has assumed operation of two of these affected services, commercial routes 228/229 (Tunbridge Wells-Crowborough) - Compass's first operation into Kent - and the 261 (Uckfield-East Grinstead).
