Stagecoach marked Scottish Climate Week in September with a plan which it says will cut tens of thousands of tonnes of carbon emissions a year from its business as it targets a zero emissions bus fleet by 2035. The latest Stagecoach targets and commitments are part of the company's new sustainability strategy entitled Driving Net Zero: Better Places to Live and Work, published in advance of the 26th United Nations Climate Change conference taking place in Glasgow from October 31 to November 12. Stagecoach - in merger talks with National Express as we went to press - aims to decarbonise its business by around 70% by 2035 as well as targeting a zero emissions fleet throughout the UK by then.
