Fitted seats to an Austin van to carry passengers in evenings and at weekends and in 1953 purchased first coach, a Bedford/ Duple. Moved to present site 1955, building commercial garage and filling station 1963. Son Mark took over day-to-day management in 1971, and entered formal business partnership with his father from 1994 until Sydney Stringer died in 2009. Mark Stringer and wife Sonia run it today, with their son Mark, who joined the company in 2003. Premises substantially modernised and upgraded 1992 and MoT testing station added 2001 as part of workshop upgrade. Excursion programme started 1982, bus operation 1989, and current two local services were started in 2001.
