Lack of awareness holds back P&R use

Lack of awareness is the biggest factor holding back the use of park-&-ride services in England, says users' watchdog Transport Focus. It researched the views of 500 people about the bus-based schemes in Oxford and Doncaster, finding that 98% of local users and 86% making longer distance journeys were satisfied by the service. Lack of awareness was the overwhelming reason for others not using them, with questions about ticketing and frequency of buses the biggest obstacles.
