The French city of Rennes has placed the largest single order so far for the battery electric Mercedes-Benz eCitaro. The capital of the Brittany region will take 59 bendybuses and 33 of the 12m rigid between 2022 and 2025. They will have eight lithium-ion battery packs and will be equipped for pantograph charging beyond the depot.
