£1.5m makeover for Pool Meadow

Coventry's Pool Meadow bus station, rebuilt in 1994, is being given a £1.5million upgrade to coincide with next year's City of Culture status for the West Midlands city. Travel for West Midlands will install new electronic passenger information screens, free Wi-Fi, LED lighting, new benches, bins and planters and will refurbish the toilets. To mark City of Culture and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, it will also incorporate specially commissioned artwork and murals.
