Accessibility regs relaxed again

After granting a one-month extension to the end of January for operators of rail replacement services to comply with the PSV Accessibility Regulations (PSVAR), the Department for Transport announced a further extension until the end of April. In a letter to trade body Rail Delivery Group, transport minister Chris Heaton-Harris said: 'I accept that were all non-compliant coaches and buses removed from providing rail replacement services there would be a disproportionately negative effect on the provision of rail replacement services for all passengers, given the number of compliant vehicles in the market.'
