Skegness Red Bus ceases operation

Skegness lost its Red Bus service provided by Spalding-based Fitzpatrick during September. The operator had provided competition for Stagecoach on the key tourist route along the coast between Skegness and Ingoldmells, with services having operated for around six years. It ran an odd timetable, which on Fridays and Mondays only operated between 09.45 and 12.35. On the remaining five days of the week, the same timetable was offered each day, running until 17.05. Both variations ran every 10min, requiring three buses running without layover.
