GVVT reaches fundraising target to buy garage

The Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust has reached its £100,000 target for a fundraising appeal to support its planned purchase of its Bridgeton Bus Garage from an arms length Glasgow City Council company. 'Our immediate focus is to conclude the purchase of the garage with the current owner, says chairman Steven Booth. 'From there our attention will move to further fundraising to support refurbishment of the building to enhance the accommodation and facilities for members and visitors. This will likely include a Heritage Lottery Fund application.'
