A parting salute to one of London's last Leylands

This picture album is a follow up to Matthew Wharmby's definitive 2008 work on London Transport's Leyland Titans, published by Ian Allan. It tells of their career from 1998 to 2003, when their numbers had diminished from a peak of 1,130 (five of them secondhand) to around 500 operated by the two Stagecoach fleets and London Central. Most, he tells us, are depicted 'in the state you would expect for spending 20hr a day pounding London's streets'. Stagecoach's lasted until the autumn of 2001, London Central's for another 18 months. There are several views of the last of all, T1018, making its final appearances between Aldgate and Dulwich on 19 June 2003.
