Branding adds realism at Kirkby open day

Some of the vehicles in action at the North West Vehicle Restoration Trust's open day at Kirkby on 2 June revealed the recent addition of authentic fleetnames, logos and route branding to make their restoration more complete. Ex-Wallasey Corporation 1959 Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1 6 (FHF 456) has had Merseyside PTE logos and fleetnumber 206 applied to the Wirral blue and cream livery of its Metro-Cammell body, a colour scheme that combined the main elements of the Birkenhead and Wallasey undertakings when the PTE absorbed them at its formation in 1969.
