Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is an enigma. It is not a vast designated area of beauty, as you would expect of our national parks, but a coastal fringe stretching around the south-west coast of Wales from Amroth on Carmarthen Bay to Cardigan facing the Irish Sea. You can get around it by bus, easier in the summer but possible in winter. You can do the whole 186miles on six buses. I managed five, but only because I was constrained by time and, annoyingly, the buses do not connect.
