Stagecoach cuts again as Norfolk retendering rejigs routes

Go-Ahead Group-owned Konectbus is extending some routes, while Stagecoach has further reduced its presence in north Norfolk as a result of changes to tendered services in the county. Konectbus will extend its Norwich city route 37A three times a day to East Harling, a 50min rural extension that replaces Semmence Coaches route 10A. It will also add a 14mile extension to routes 3 and 6 beyond Watton to Thetford, at the expense of Coach Services route 81, which provided most of the service on a commercial basis until this spring. However, First Eastern Counties has replaced Konectbus on the former Anglianbus route 83 between Norwich and Harleston. It is adding a new Purple Line 38A to its Network Norwich brand. Funding cuts by the county council mean that some Sunday frequencies are being reduced, while weekday buses to Wroxham on Pink Line 11/12 are reduced from three an hour to two.
