Showbus has been on the move in recent years, with four different venues for the UK's biggest bus and coach gathering over the past six years. This year's - on 30 September - was the third and last to be staged at Donington Park, close to East Midlands Airport and a major junction on the national motorway network. Next year - the date has been set for 29 September - it returns to south-east England and a new venue, the Hertfordshire County Showground on the A5183 close to junction 9 of the Ml roughly halfway between St Albans and Luton. The site has space for over 500 buses, which would accommodate this year's entry of in excess of 220 two times over.
