LHD test rig is evaluated on the roads of Norfolk

An unusual sight on the roads of Norfolk in September was this left-hand-drive Wright StreetDeck development vehicle. First Eastern Counties had it on loan at King's Lynn to trial the engine size of the Mercedes-Benz-powered StreetDeck to see if it is suitable for the high mileage, fast running Excel service linking Peterborough, King's Lynn, Norwich and Great Yarmouth, as the current fleet of Alexander Dennis Enviro400s is due to be replaced next year. It was photographed in King's Lynn on 7 September and was in use - without passengers - from 4 to 19 September.
