When 27 buses crossed Salisbury Plain

This year's Imberbus on 18 August, with London Routemasters, New Routemasters and a few other types operating an intensive service on normally closed parts of the Salisbury Plain military range, attracted 27 vehicles and raised £12,100 for the Royal British Legion and the upkeep of Imber village church. The number of vehicles was greater than we mistakenly reported in Buses last month. There were 18 original model Routemasters, five New Routemasters (including first and last LT1 and LT1000 and unique short wheelbase ST812), preserved Scania/MCW Metropolitan MD60 plus four other vehicles, three of which shared in operation of registered route 23A linking Warminster with the 'lost' village of Imber and other point on the plain.
