GENETICS-BETTER LIFE FOR ALL

摘要

Longevity and abundant harvests are the two traditional Chinese aspirations for human wel- fare. This means that, through scientific exchanges and international cooperation, the results of genetic research may serve to improve the quality of human life. Certainly the realization of this noble goal requires contributions from all fields of natural and social sciences. In this presentation, however I shall limit my discussions to what geneticists can do in the three main areas of research.
