Towards a higher international standard - World Journal of Gastroenterology will be published semimonthly in 2004

World Journal of Gastroenterology (WJG) is an international academic journal in digestology published in China. The WJG was established in 1995 under the name of China National Journal of New Gastroenterology, and adapted its present title in 1998. The WJG (ISSN 1007-9327), now published monthly by the WJG Press, is a 210x297 mm-sized journal with 256 pages in each issue. The Journal is distributed by the Beijing Newspaper and Periodical Subscription and Distribution Bureau (Postal Issuance Code 82-261). In response to continuing growth in both basic and clinical studies on digestive diseases and the increasing demands for the international exchange in science and technology, the WJG journal will be published twice monthly from January 2004, with 160 pages in each issue. The publication dates are on the 1st and 15th of each month.
