Used truck prices up in January as volumes slip in retail, wholesale channels

Used Class 8 truck price appreciation was prevalent in January sales in the retail and wholesale channels. The sole weak spot was the month-over-month change in auction re sults. Strength in pricing is once again attributed to soft volumes. The update on the used market was reported in the latest release of the State of the Industry: US Classes 3-8 Used Trucks, published by ACT Research.
