Food as the Core of National and Local Governance

This book is a welcome addition to the expanding literature on issues surrounding urban food systems and their significance in the economic, spatial and social functions of contemporary cities. In 2010, CJ Lim published Smart Cities and Eco-Warriors, which addressed ideas of urban farming through various projects around the world. The present book can be considered as a continuation of this research, in the sense that it demonstrates ways that many of the previously identified issues can be developed in relation to food production, and be practically integrated in a food productive and sustainable urban space.
