As schools across the country scramble to install security systems, edurators at two suburban Chicago high schools are digging far beneath the symptoms and. addressing the root of a disease that has caused an unprecedented out-burst in student violence across the nation. Highland Park and Deerfield High Schools have called upon Legat Architects, an Illinois-based firm with offices in Waukegan, Chicago, Crystal Lake, Schaumburg, Oak Brook, and Palatine, to transform their buildings into places that foster a sense of community and positive social interaction.
