In the mid ''90s, Steril-Aire pioneered a new generation of high-output "UVC Emitters™" for energy, mold and IAQ control. Since then, UVC technology has earned broad acceptance in educational projects... and is now recognized under the LEED~® certification program. Sammamish Commons (Washington) recently became the first project to earn a LEED~® "Innovation in Design" point for the use of germicidal UVC lights in the air handling units.
