In just four months, a former Barnes & Noble bookstore was transformed into the millennial-friendly Jackson Development Zone, the Michigan State University-adjacent home of the Jackson National Life Insurance Company. Known as "the Zone," the 33,000-square-foot office provides a place for more than 250 college students to gain real-world work experience on a part-time basis and gives Jackson an opportunity to recruit and train talented associates who can move into full-time work after graduation, explains Dennis Blue, Vice President of Corporate Support Services for Jackson.
