This healthcare system had outgrown its surgery department and needed a new unit. The replacement surgery and central sterile addition includes 18 operating rooms, 25 pre/post-op rooms, a 19-bay post-anesthesia unit, a central sterile/ decontamination unit, distribution warehouse, receiving area and three-bay loading dock. The expansion/renovation also called for a new hospital entry/lobby with a large canopy with a modern look that complements the original structure. Family rooms provide privacy for discussions between families and physicians.
