Support services and building group Interserve has posted a 4% rise in turnover from £913.6m to £951.2m for the six months to 30 June 2009. Pre-tax profit was up by 19% from £33.7m to £40m and the group said the results had been boosted by its work in the UK public sector and the Middle East. Net debt fell 26% from £115.4m to £85.1m.rnAdrian Ringrose, chief executive, said: "We remain confident in our prospects and expect to deliver robust near-term performance and sustain our long-term growth."rnSocial housing contractor Apollo has posted a 22% rise in turnover for the year to 31 March 2009 from £214.5m to £261.6m. Pre-tax profit remained flat at £12.4m but the company revealed that its recent debt restructuring deal with Lloyds Banking Group, which paves the way for the sale of the bank's 20% stake, reduced debt from £343m to £150m.
