This year's Building Awards has brought a bumper crop of entries. Indeed they were so good that we failed to come up with a shortlist of six so this has been extended to eight for each of the project categories.rnMuch as we would love to cover all 24 buildings shortlisted in detail, we simply don't have the space so we have highlighted a few of these for you to enjoy. At the time of writing, the judging hadn't taken place so please don't read anything into the selection: we've picked projects here on the superficial basis that they provide some eye-candy to cheer us all up.rnThe projects here are also a reminder of the hard work the industry has put in over the past few years, and the reason we went into construction in the first place.
