Bethnal Green's Town Hall Hotel and Apartments scheme has been named project of the year by the RICS.rnThe east London redevelopment was designed by Rare Architecture and built by main contractor MP Brothers. It involved the conversion of an unoccupied grade-II listed former council headquarters into a 98-room hotel and conference facility.rnAs well as scooping the overall prize, the scheme won the "building conservation" category at the awards, held at London's Savoy Hotel last week.
