Gardiner & Theobald wins Battersea appointment

Consultant Gardiner & Theobald has been appointed on the £5.5bn Battersea Power Station redevelopment, amid continuing signs construction work is likely to start. Rob Tincknell, managing director of Treasury Holdings, confirmed that G&T had been appointed to the 3,400-home project, which is seeking investors to get a final go-ahead. The news follows the appointment last week of landscape architects LDA Design and Exterior Architecture to the project and the hiring of Nick Williams, former One Hyde Park development director, as chief development officer. In January, Treasury Holdings appointed Ian Simpson Architects and de Rijke Marsh Morgan to build out the masterplan of architect Rafael Vinoly.
