Royal Shakespeare and Swan Theatres Transformation, Stratford-upon-Avon

An unattractive and drab eighties office block in central London has been transformed into a piece of exceptional modern architecture offering 245,000ft2 of high-spec office space and 5,920ft2 of retail space on the ground floor. The structural concrete frame of the original building has been retained but new spaces and a distinctive new external glazed skin have been wrapped around it. A highly efficient, Grade A office and retail building, it is sustainable, fresh and exciting.
