A green revolution has been taking place in Slough. From its Berkshire headquarters paint manufacturer Dulux Trade is pioneering the business case for sustainable innovation. In 2008, the firm launched the market leading Ecosure range of paints. This ground-breaking range of coatings contains considerably less embodied carbon than the firm's equivalent standard products. Dulux Trade is continually innovating its products, and the recent reformulation of its Vinyl Matt White signals the latest step change in its sustainable development, and demonstrates that sustainability is not just confined to its specialist product ranges. This core product combines 15% lower embodied carbon with 20% less water used during its production. Through 2011 Dulux Trade is set to deliver more sustainable paint formulations across its range.
