The WRAP demonstration trial was carried out at the refurbishment of premises at the LSE in central London. 1. Total ceiling waste collected: 17.5 tonnes (3,283m~2) 2. New ceiling material delivered: 8 tonnes to 10.6 tonnes (1,500m~2 to 2,000m~2) 3. Landfill costs avoided: gate fee ￡436-￡960; landfill tax ￡1,117 4. Total landfill costs avoided: ￡1,553-￡2,077 (excl transport costs) 5. Waste to landfill transport costs avoided: ￡720 6. Costs avoided by the construction site (at the LSE): ￡2,273-￡2,797.
