PROJECT INFORMATION MANAGEMENT IN THE DATA AGE

Construction is all about the creation of buildings that are fit for purpose, desirable to live and work in and efficient in use. Yet the industry remains inefficient, with poor communication between architects, engineers and contractors, often resulting in spiralling costs and delays. Economic climate aside, the area of "business and project efficiency" was identified as the biggest challenge facing companies in a recent survey conducted across the readership of Building magazine and sister title Building Design in collaboration with Project Information Management software developer, Newforma.
