Green Deal oversight partner faces high court action for'bias'

A firm involved in overseeing the Green Deal has been hit with a High Court action over claims of "incompetence" and "unfairness". Renewable Energy Assurance Limited (REAL) is part of a team that was appointed by the government to oversee the Green Deal last month. It is a delivery partner to Gemserv, a separate firm that is not party to the High Court action. REAL and its sponsoring trade body the Renewable Energy Association are now facing a claim of bias and unfairness in regulating the solar industry. All solar installers are required to register with REAL and abide by its code of conduct.
