Gleeds wins role on £260m Daytona speedway revamp

Consultant Gleeds has won a high-profile role on the £260m redevelopment of one of the world's most famous motor racing facilities, the iconic Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, Building can reveal. Gleeds was appointed cost manager on the revamp by the International Speedway Corporation, Daytona's parent company, with Gleeds responsible for delivering the biggest overhaul of the venue in its 54-year history. The redevelopment project, called Daytona Rising, has been designed by US architect Rossetti and includes an extended grandstand area with 101,000 new seats, as well as more than 60 new trackside suites for corporate entertaining.
