Gartec, part of the Aritco Group, is launching the Aritco 9000 Cabin Lift, which it says combines all the benefits of a platform lift with the feel of a passenger lift. The company says the Aritco 9000 can be installed in three days with little building work required as it comes with its own shaft enclosure. The lift has an optional shallow pit of 75mm, with a headroom requirement of only 2,400mm, making it ideal for fitting into buildings where space is at a premium and where a conventional passenger lift would not be possible. The firm also claims the lift can be installed in older or historic buildings, enabling designers to meet their legal requirements under Building Regulations Part M, Machinery Directive and the Equality Act. A choice of colours, traditional wood or contemporary steel finish with powder coated or glazed structural shaft panels is available.
