In central London it is easy to get a distorted view of the offices sector. Land Securities and British Land alone have a dozen sizeable projects in the capital. Knight Frank reports that availability is at one of its lowest levels since mid-2008 and investor demand is 11% higher than a year ago. However, the CPA/Barbour ABI index excludes the very largest projects to look at the market as a whole. In the capital, prospects for medium-size offices construction have slowed, with take-up currently poor.
