The construction activity index remained unchanged in June, at 57. It signals a continuation of positive sentiment within the construction industry, with the exception of December's seasonal dip. At the sector level, activity picked up for both non-residential and civil engineering, at 58 and 67 respectively. On the other hand, residential activity fell four points to 51, its lowest value since last October. The orders index climbed eight points to reach 71 in June, making it the 11th consecutive month of above average orders. In contrast, tender enquiries fell eight points to 51, its lowest value since last December.
