Retirement housebuilder McCarthy & Stone has poached the chief executive of growing developer Mount Anvil to be its new chief executive. Clive Fenton will replace Mark Elliott, McCarthy & Stone's current chief executive, and will join the business on 17 February. Fenton was a board member and southern region executive director for Barratt before leaving in 2012. He joined south-east housebuilder Mount Anvil in January last year.
