Aukett Fitzroy Robinson more than doubles profit

Architect Aukett Fitzroy Robinson has more than doubled its pre-tax profit in its last financial year. In its results for the year to 30 September 2013, the firm reported a pre-tax profit of £550,000, up from £210,000 the previous year, allowing the UK's only listed architect to return money to shareholders for the first time in five years. However, the firm reported a fall in revenue to £8.4m in 2013 from £9.1m in 2012. The firm, which at the end of last year bought the European arm of Swanke Hayden Connell for £1.6m, said the bulk of improvement in its performance came from its UK wort where it had revenue of £6.1m, up from £5m the previous year.
