Carillion secures £1.4bn funding towards expansion

Carillion has secured £1.4bn in funding as it seeks to expand. The firm has renewed and extended its main £790m bank facility at a better rate for a further three years. The firm said that alongside funding from a private placement, convertible bonds and three smaller banking facilities Carillion has £1.4bn of available funding, which it said would support its growth strategy.
