Carillion joint venture bags £125m Dubai Trade Centre job

A Carillion joint venture has secured a £125m phase of Dubai's Trade Centre District. Al Futtaim Carillion (AFC) will deliver 178,000m~2 of development, including two office buildings of eight and 12 stories. Work has begun, with completion scheduled for the third quarter of 2017. AFC is nearing completion of an earlier phase won in 2014, taking the total amount of work won by the joint venture on the project to around £200m. Dubai Trade Centre District is a major development located between the current Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre and Emirates Towers in the heart of the city's Central Business District. Carillion bos Richard Howson said: "We continue to see more opportunities [for us] coming to market in Dubai."
