Developing Leeds

Developer Commercial Estates Group has appointed the project team to deliver the first phase of its £400m Kirkstall Forge development in Leeds. The 57-acre site will provide 1,050 new homes, 300,000ft~2 of offices and 100,000ft~2 of retail, leisure and community space. The first phase, a 15,534m~2, seven-storey office building designed by architect Cooper Cromar, will start in the new year, with completion expected in spring 2017. Work is already under way to deliver a new dedicated railway station connecting the site to Leeds city centre. I & H Brown is delivering the access road to the railway station and a river bridge crossing and to service the site for the first phase.
