RIBA names 50 National Award winning projects

Nearly SO projects have landed RIBA National Awards, the first stage of the race for the Stirling prize, writes Elizabeth Hopkirk. Bell Phillips, DSDHA, AHMM and Glenn Howells Architects are the only practices to win two awards. Almost a quarter of the winning buildings are for university or college clients, including Zaha Hadid Architects' Middle East Centre at St Antony's College, Oxford, and the same city's Blavatnik School of Government by Herzog & de Meuron.
