Berkeley's Southall Gasworks masterplan gains approval

Berkeley Group's revised masterplan for the regeneration of the former Southall Gasworks has been approved by Ealing council. Paving the way for the housebuilder to create 3,750 homes and up to 50,000ft2 of commercial space on the 88-acre brownf ield site named Southall Waterside. The scheme will also become home to a two form entry primary school, a health centre and will have over half the site dedicated to open space, including landscaped public parkland, leisure and play spaces, and piazzas.
